Tata Harper Resurfacing BHA Glow Mask ($65)
Tara Harper is a blogger-loved brand. The green glass packaging and high price point make it perfect to push on Instagram and to show off in a “Nightime Skincare Routine” reel or blog post. Unlike social media hyped brands like Tula, Tata Harper has been applauded and awarded in the beauty industry for years.
The Resurfacing Mask is easily the most popular of their products. The mask is loaded with natural ingredients that promise to deliver a brighter, tighter, and glowing complexion. The gelatin-like texture smooths over the skin thinly and gradually tightens until it’s dry. When it’s washed off your skin is tight, smooth, and even. While it contains chemical exfoliators, I wouldn’t call it harsh. In fact, when I’m experiencing dryness on my skin it doesn’t slough off the dead skin like a physical exfoliator would, so I usually use this when I’m experiencing uneven tone. Since it needs to be kept on for 15-30 minutes I like to reserve this for a bath and after I use I extend the selfcare moment and double mask with a hydrating mask like the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask.
I’ll certainly continue to purchase this mask because I love it, but I wouldn’t say it’s a must have. The price is high and the product amount is small. I only purchase this when on sale. If the mask was inside a less luxe packaging it easily could sell in the $40 range. I also do wish it was a little more effective in exfoliating dryness. Tata Harper recommends layering their Regenerating cleanser underneath to deliver a more powerful result, but honestly I’d rather not buy a $86 cleanser to make a $65 mask work better 🙃
Do you love any Tata Harper products and most importantly are they worth the huge price tag?
