Dubose Re-Du Serum $110
I was recommended this product by a follower who turned into in IRL friend. She raved about the founder’s (@elleontheglow) amazing skin and had been enjoying the Re-Du serum for a while.
If you already follow Elle (you should) you know her skin is incredible. If I had to describe it in three words: hydrated, glowy, and plump. The exact three that I always aspire my skin to be. Elle is an RN injector who creates products that aid in skin health and pair well with injectables (if you choose to partake in them). Her serum, Re-Du, is a snail mucin serum that combines hyaluronic acid and Argireline, the needle-less version of Botox, to repair the skin barrier, plump, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
Before trying the product, I was impressed that the hero ingredients were within the first 5 ingredients listed. One of my big pet peeves with skincare is a $$ brand will put a buzz worthy ingredient on the front of their package but then on the ingredient list it will be third from the last, meaning the concentration is small. Just like food, LOOK AT THE INGREDIENT LIST! Don’t waste your money on fancy skin water. But I digress...
I’ve used snail mucin before from CosRX. It was fine, but I didn’t have this life changing experience like all the reviews online say they did. Re-du is the first snail mucin product I’ve used where I have seen actual results. I’ve been testing this since July and my skin has gotten bouncier and more hydrated than ever before. When a brand has used the term “skin barrier” I pretended like I understood what they meant, but this is the first time I actually can say I know what it means to improve it. I don’t have that many fine lines, but they haven’t gotten more noticeable, so I call that a win. Many reviewers who get Botox have said they have been able to extend the time between injections! This product is not cheap, but if you are someone who uses Botox I think this is absolutely worth testing out. I also challenge any CosRX users to switch to one bottle of Re-Du and see if they also see a difference.
Can’t wait to see what product @elleontheglow comes out with next!
Didn’t have enough room to talk about the packaging in the IG caption!
The bottle is meant to look like Botox and I think that’s super clever. Getting it out of the bottle at first was a challenge, but they show you how to dispense it on their website and once you’ve gotten it down it’s easy. I love watching the big bubble float to the top and the pipette fill with the product. It’s like I’m doing a little science experiment.
