Dior BACKSTAGE Rosy Glow Blush in Coral ($40)
I won’t shut up about how much I love the Dior Rosy Glow blush in Pink, so when my local Sephora finally had the Coral shade in stock I bought it immediately. Yes, it looks really scary in the pan, but so does the Pink shade and that one is the epitome of perfection.
Like Pink, Coral gives a soft finish and glow, as the name would suggest. In contrast to Pink, Coral is very warm in its undertones and slightly more pigmented from what I’ve noticed. When I use Pink, I don’t ever fear of putting on too much, but I have had to be more concious when applying Coral.
If you’re deciding between the two, I would recommend Coral to those with fair but olive undertones and anyone with a medium to deep skin tone. I am fair with neutral undertones, but I tan fairly easily and well so this shade works for me even at my fairest.
I do like that its inherit warmth allows me to skip bronzer if I’m really trying to do a bare bones makeup look. I focus the color on my cheeks (obviously), but I also lightly dust it over my nose, forehead, and chin for an all over subtle color.
If you made me choose between the two, I’d still pick the Pink shade which I find to be universally flattering, but I’m excited to have Coral in my drawer and have been loving wearing it as it’s started to get slightly warmer outside. I think it will look particularly great when tanned mid summer ☀️
