I wanted to try these viral face towels for two reasons. One, they not only flooded my IG ads, but also all my favorite follows, whom I trust, were using them. Two, I was dealing with congested pores, whiteheads, and blackheads on my nose for quite awhile. Their marketing suggested that the bacteria in our normal towels was transferring to our face, so I wanted to find out if that in fact was the issue to the unresolved problem.
You can buy these towels on their website or Amazon with a small price difference. Like everything nowadays, you can also start subscriptions on either website to save more money per box. I was skeptical and impatient, so I ordered from Amazon for the quick and free shipping. I bought six 50 count boxes which brought the price down to $.29 per sheet. If you go the subscription route, the Clean Skin Club website has the best price.
The sheets are made of 100% viscose and are biodegradable and compostable, so in our world of eliminating single use items as much as possible you don't have to worry about these being wasteful. The viscose material is woven into a tightly knit waffle texture that is both incredibly soft and super strong. They reminded me a lot of the fancy thick paper towels high end restaurants have in their bathrooms. Due to their strength you can use these dry or wet without tearing (video below showing the strength of the towel when wet).
I use the XL's wet and dry. I wet one half to remove and rinse off my face cleanser and then I use the dry half to dry my face. Many people who only use these towels to dry their face, like to cut the XL sheets in half.
I have used two boxes other the last 3 months and have fallen in love. No, they did not resolve the problems I was having on my nose (that ended up being the Biossance Copper Serum!!!), but I do love how much more clean my skin feels after each use. The light waffle texture adds a subtle layer of manual exfoliation and really gets any debris off the skin. I love them so much I even travel with them!
When I finish all six of my boxes I will definitely be upgrading to a subscription via their website! No caveats here, I recommend them to all!
