Bottega Veneta Small Loop Camera Bag in Almond (price details in review)
I’ve mentioned before that Bottega Veneta never really caught my eye in recent years, but that all changed when they launched the Loop Camera Bags. I first had my eye on the Mini, but after watching multiple YouTube reviews and seeing it in person, I decided the Small was much more practical. I do think the Mini is the cutest size, but when I could barely get my iPhone inside it was immediately passed on.
The Small Loop Bag features BV’s famous intracciato woven leather with a double knotted thin strap that hits at the perfect hip-laying crossbody length (See it on in last photo. I’m 5’5”). The inside is a raw untreated suede with no pockets. This may be a pain point for some, but I haven’t had any issues in my 8 months of ownership.
The intracciato leather is raw on the edges so there has been some wear (zoom in on photos). Darker colors will hide this better, but when I tried on the black I felt the woven leather detail was less noticeable and that’s kind of the whole point of the bag.
The bag holds all the essential with room to spare and never feels heavy even when it’s stuffed to the brim. When not in use I keep it stuffed with paper in it’s dust bag.
Pricing!! I bought this in March in Maui where there is a International price on many leather luxury goods. This bag retails today for $2,350 on the mainland, but I paid $1,760 in Maui. If this is a bag you’re interested in I highly recommend calling Soko the SA at the Wailea store. Over the phone you can take advantage of the lower prices and have it shipped to wherever you are. I’ve included Soko’s card in the slide.
Overall, I love this bag and get complimented on it a lot. It’s casual enough to throw on with leggings, but cool enough to use for events or going out at night. It’s truly the perfect crossbody ✨
