Béis 29” Checked, Carry-On, and Weekender ($328, $218, $108)
29” Checked:
If I’m buying a checked bag I want the biggest size they make. The 29” fit a week’s worth of clothes, shoes, and toiletries with room and under the 50lb bag limit. My favorite features are the compression panel with zippered compartments on both sides perfect for laptops, the two zippered compartments on the left hand size that aid in organization, and lastly the ability to nest my carry-on inside. Béis takes these more obvious features of luggage to the next level with a cushioned handle (life changing), weight meter on the side handle, and the ability to attach other bags to the front (used this multiple times!!). You’ll see videos of the wear and tear the bag went through on two international flights. Some scuffs I got off with a magic eraser while others could not be removed. Overall, my husband and I are very impressed with the luggage as a whole.
Carry-On:
Same features as the checked just on a smaller scale. I could easily pack 5 days of essentials in this bag, if you’re not a shopper on trips like me or it’s a summer destination you could probably fit more. We flew on a larger United plane and had no issues with the overhead, but I’ve heard some people have had issues on other airlines.
Weekender:
The Weekender is one of Béis’ bestsellers. I was able to fit so much in this bag as my second personal item: my Cuyana large toiletry bag, cashmere wrap, purse, iPad, headphones, and had extra room! For the lower compartment, most people use this for shoes. I used it to bring a thicker and softer jacket and to hold all our chargers. The inside features zippered compartments and pouches, the outside has one zipper compartment, and a trolley sleeve. The only complaint I have is the concaved sides that open up to a full rectangle is a little hard to zip close with one hand, but honestly that’s barely a complaint 😂 The canvas body does attract lint and dog hair, but again that’s not really a complaint for me.
Béis isn’t the cheapest luggage brand, but their level of detail, organization, and unconventional features make it a better deal than Away and comparable brands.
