AYR Jeans The Pop ($225), The Stir ($245), The Secret Sauce ($245)
The much anticipated review of my #1 denim brand is finally here! I’ll get into each of the three styles below, but here are some things all the jean styles share. Stretch! As someone with curvier hips and thighs I need stretch in my denim. I don’t have time for standing pants very often (Agolde, I’m talking about you!). No gapping! Most likely attributed to the stretch, I no longer have to worry of being mistaken as a plumber. INSEAMS! All these jeans come with 3 different inseams. I’m only 5’5,” but all legs, and the ability to buy a L inseam is life changing.
The Pop ($225)
I affectionately call these my “plane jeans.” On IG I am flooded with DMs anytime I wear these, which is multiple times a week. These are perfect jeans. Stretchy, a comfortable high rise for all torso lengths, and the tiniest kick flare that make these flattering on everyone and versatile with a variety of shoes. I have not met a pair of jeans that can “beat” these. If there is one pair to own from the AYR, it is these. The stretchiest of the three styles, I own my true size 29 L, but if between sizes most can size down.
The Stir ($245)
These are the slimmest style AYR makes. If you aren’t ready to get rid of your skinny jeans, these would be a great style to try out without moving too far out of your comfort zone. A moderate high rise that feels very comfortable even on my short torso. They are slightly lighterweight, but hold their shape all day. TTS, I bought a 29 L.
The Secret Sauce ($245)
A true wide leg style with stretch and sits in the sweet spot between a mid rise and high waist. This is the one style I bought a R inseam, but honestly I think I could have done a L and been really happy with it. These jeans are incredibly comfortable and are a thicker than The Pop and The Stir. One note about washes, the blue wash, Good Mood, fits slighter tighter at the waist than the black, Date Night. The brand says these jeans loosen a bit with wear and I would agree with that. I bought my true size 29 in both washes.
I will admit these are not the most affordable denim, but when you find a brand that makes you not dread jean shopping I happily fork over the money.
